This year, the students of the Department of Surface Mining and Rational Use of Mineral Resources - Danylo Vinivitin and Ecology and environmental protection technologies - Oleksandra Mulyk received a two-month grant under the #EMINReM project from #Erasmus+ to undergo an internship at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg (Germany ) from October 6 to November 30!
The purpose of Danylo Vinivitin's internship is to conduct research as part of writing his own diploma . The materials were analyzed, and research was conducted to determine the stability of rocks in dumps during the mining of iron ore deposits. For this, he visited the university library, where the necessary scientific literature and technical sources from around the world are located.
Working in the library helped to systematize the information received and form the theoretical part of the study. Additionally, during the internship, consultations were held with lecturers and scientists who provided valuable advice and helped guide the work in the right direction. Such an internship is a crucial stage in the professional development of a future specialist, allowing you to gain valuable experience in scientific activity abroad.
The purpose of Oleksandra Mulyk's internship was to gain international experience in environmentally friendly mining approaches. Staying in Freiberg was an excellent opportunity for her to combine her studies with a cultural experience. She was most impressed by the local library - a large, quiet space that was very convenient for work and exam preparation. The library's atmosphere inspires concentration and helps maintain a steady learning rhythm. It is vast, featuring a large variety of materials that are difficult to find in Ukraine or online.
![]() During the internship, Oleksandra spent most of her time attending lectures, self-studying, and preparing for the DELF exam. In her free time, she had the opportunity to visit the picturesque small towns of Saxony, with their cozy streets and calm atmosphere. Each such meeting allows you to become better familiar with the cultural heritage of this country. The experience gained will enable Oleksandra to organize her time more effectively and work more independently. Freiberg has become a quiet but inspiring place for her, where it is pleasant to learn and develop independently.
